New job, old memories

I stand a lot in my new job. I didn’t realise I was doing it, but I rock a little from foot to foot, just to relieve a little bit of the pain which comes from standing for one hundred and twenty minute stretches. The last time I rocked like this was eight years ago, my first daughter bouncing gently in the cradle I made with my arms. “Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down, ” I sang to her.
